Today, Salesforce kicked off their annual Dreamforce conference–that’s right, we’re back and bigger than ever! The last two years have looked pretty different from the last two virtual-first events!
Salesforce dropped HUGE news as Dreamforce kicked off this morning, unveiling their latest innovation, Salesforce Genie.
What is Genie?
Genie is Salesforce’s new Customer Data Platform (CDP) that creates customer magic by connecting real-time data streams to power their Salesforce Customer 360 platform. Genie collects and stores real-time data from every channel, legacy data from MuleSoft, and historical data from proprietary data lakes and uses these data points to create the world’s first real-time CRM.
All of this data is transformed into one graph, unified into a single customer profile record and source of truth, accessible across all of Customer 360, industry solutions, AppExchange, and customer apps.
Why are we so excited about it?
According to David Schmaier, Salesforce’s President and Chief Product Officer, “Every business leader wants to take advantage of real-time data to create compelling, personalized customer experiences—milliseconds matter in this new digital-first world. That’s why we built Genie, our most significant innovation ever on the Salesforce Platform. Genie makes every part of Customer 360 more automated, intelligent, and real-time.”
Genie supercharges the personalized experiences we’re all about here at Qualified by helping the Pipeline Cloud engage buyers in real-time. Salesforce announced Canvas, a new set of features built within Slack stemming from Saleforce's acquisition of Quip in 2016.
Why are we so excited about it?
Canvas enhances Slack by enabling teams that use channels to organize their data, content, and resources while offering the real-time collaboration Slack users know and love. The use cases for Canvas are endless–whether you’re in marketing, sales, or design, you can use canvases for campaign planning, account plans, or project management.
